So one of the joys of being a homeowner is that you get to decorate/paint/change things about your house and make it the way you want. A downfall of being a homeowner is that you get to decorate/paint/change things about your house and make it the way you want. After the arduous process of picking out paint colors (it seriously took me like a month to pick the colors for one room) we set to work. We now have completed the kitchen and the downstairs bathroom and both upstairs bathrooms are 85% finished. Here are some before and after photos:

Kitchen After: (The shelves aren't crooked...I was trying to stand on a chair, take a picture and dust at the same time)

Andy put up the chair rail all by himself. I am so proud of him and so grateful for all he has done to make our house nice.

Kudos to you guys!!! this looks great! I can't imagine how tired you must be...but the hard work is paying off...
Those shelves look good black. (see I am not the only one who reads your blog)
I feel your pain Sara! I am also in the process of painting our house too. I started several months ago on our kitchen and am just now finishing! It's a lot of work but worth it in the end don't you think? Your kitchen and bathroom look great by the way :)
The piano Tuner I recommend is Jared Nielson. He is rather busy so you may have to schedule a time for him to come. He is a social creature so he likes to talk with you as he tunes. I usually feed him when he comes over. heh heh, His number is 480-228-4323.
This is awesome! Nice work. I hope that you guys really enjoy it because you deserve it.
Hey! The house looks really nice! I was reading some comments on my and Whitney's blog and noticed that you had commented. I hope life is treating you well.
