Ouch, six from your school alone? It makes me wonder how big class sizes are going to be next year (they're doing the same things down here). Let's hope that they come to their senses in the Fall when they realize how stupid it is to cut so many teachers for both your sake and the sake of the kids.
That is really horrible news. And it is just down right stupid as well.....so obviously our kids education is not very important to the government, obama especially. I hope and pray that things will work out and you will find something soon.
Im sorry Sara! That really sucks. I am in the process of looking for a job, but now i realize how right now is the absolute worst time to graduate. You will have an edge getting a job in other districts because you have been teaching for a couple years hopefully.

Nope. It's pretty "We're sorry...but tough luck." 145 elementary teachers were let go across the district. 6 from my school.
Sara I feel awful. I wish it could have been different. Can we do anything to help?

Other schools had 11 and 12 teachers laid off
